So EXCITING!!! you MUST read!!!!!!
Ok, with that out of the way, I can now continue to what I was gonna say. So we were downstairs in the basement chill-axing (chill and relaxing) when my sister http://musingsofviolet.blogspot.com looked up and saw a stain on the ceiling that wasn't there before. So after removing the roof panel things, we found that water was misting out somewhere in the ceiling. We looked for a while where it was coming from (since it was so little it was really hard to find) until finally I spotted it coming out of some cinder block things. Because of the way it was I couldn't see inside, but I figured if I cut some sheet rock that was in the way, I'd be able to see it. I rushed upstairs for permission to destroy the house (cut the sheet rock out of the way, it was above the ceiling so you wouldn't have been able to see, but being the good son that I am I asked). As I was waiting for my mom to get off the phone, Violet started her inspection. She found out where the leak was, apparently, where the water comes into the house, the pipe in there burst or cracked. That made sense why there is a little door thing at the pipe, (something we previously did not know) it must have happened before and they added the door for easy access. Even worse there were towels there soaking up some of the water, the leak could have been there before but too small to be noticed, and the old homeowners put them there to hide it. Just an idea, but if it's the truth, a nasty little trick.
So anyways, the plumbing company is booked up until Thursday, so we had to turn off all the water. Fortunately it's small enough that we can turn it on for a little while each day, to take showers, fill water containers, ect. But never the less extremely annoying. Hey, it's better than this one lady our insurance agent told us about, a pipe burst (I love that word) while she was on vacation for a week. $60,000-$100,000 to fix. Good thing she had insurance. ;)
